Protective and Lubricant OPHTHALMIC GEL for adults and children

OZODROP® Gel-K is a protective, lubricating, moisturising and soothing ophthalmic gel for the ocular surface with LipozonEye (ozonated vegetable oil, soy phospholipids), hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) and kolliphor. Due to its components, OZODROP® Gel-K forms a persistent and homogenous film on the corneal surface, which provides longer-lasting protection than ophthalmic solutions.
Thanks to its ozonated oil and liposomes, OZODROP® Gel-K reduces the ability of bacteria to form a biofilm and promotes their breakdown. The biofilm is a natural defence mechanism that bacteria put in place, which can form on the ocular surface, especially in the case of abrasions and trauma, or on contact lenses. Removing the biofilm creates an unfavourable environment for the proliferation of bacteria, making them more susceptible to both the eye’s natural defences and to antibiotics, which reduces inflammatory symptoms caused by bacteria.
Vegetable oil and liposomes support the stabilisation of the lipid layer of the tear film, reducing the evaporation of the aqueous layer and ensuring immediate relief for eyes. The vegetable oil used is ozonated and therefore self-preserved, it is made more bioavailable and biotolerable by the insertion into liposomes.

Indications

OZODROP® Gel-K is indicated:

• in the protection of lesions of the ocular surface (traumatic, abrasive, surgical, etc.), assisting normal reparative processes
• in cases of inflammatory conditions of the cornea (keratitis) and conjunctiva (conjunctivitis), including those of infectious origin (from bacteria, viruses, fungi)
• as an adjuvant to antibiotic therapy, in both adults and children.

In addition, due to the protective, lubricating and moisturising action of its components, OZODROP® Gel-K is useful for the treatment of dry eye, including irritation caused by environmental conditions or mechanical stress, such as using contact lenses.

Directions for use

Instil one or two drops 3-4 times a day or as advised by your doctor.
The product can be used while wearing contact lenses.

Composition

LipozonEye (self-preserved ozonated vegetable oil, soy phospholipids), hydroxyethylcellulose, boric acid, sodium tetraborate, sodium edetate bisodic, PHMB, kolliphor P407 and purified water.

Warnings

• Wash your hands thoroughly before using the product.
• Do not use the product in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components of the products.
• Make sure that the tip of the bottle does not come into contact with the eye.
• Close the bottle tightly after each use.
• Do not use the product after 30 days from opening.
• The product just instilled may produce a slight and temporary clouding of the sight, wait for the symptom to disappear before starting activities that require full visual ability.
• Administer the product at least 5 minutes before or after the administration of other products for topical ophthalmic use.
• Store the product at a temperature between 5 and 25°C.
• Should any adverse reaction occur, discontinue use and consult a specialist.
• Do not ingest.
• Keep away from heat sources.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not use the product after the expiry date.
• Do not use the product if the packaging does not appear intact.
• Sterile until first opening.
