Multimolecular lubricant and protective ophthalmic solution

Lacricomplex® is a lubricating, protective, moisturising, soothing and antioxidant ophthalmic solution, containing GlicoPro®, a multimolecular complex based on proteins, sulfur and non-sulfur glycosaminoglycans contained in a mucin base consisting of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). Glycosaminoglycans, in particular, constitute an important part of the glycocalyx of the cell surface and can represent ligands for many molecules like growth factors, cytokines, chemokines, which regulate the inflammatory response.

Lacricomplex®, therefore, contains a triple mucin component together with a mucoprotein and a protein component, with a lubricating, moisturising, antioxidant and protective action that is useful in the treatment of dry eyes, also as an adjuvant in the presence of irritation and inflammation caused by environmental conditions or mechanical stress.

Lacricomplex®, also promotes the physiological corneal reparative processes and supports the restoration of the functionality of the corneal nerve endings, which decreases in case of dry eye syndrome.

The ophthalmic solution is contained in a technological bottle which avoids the use of preservatives and allows an easy dispensing of the full volume of the liquid.

Indications

Lacricomplex®,hanks to the lubricating, protective, moisturising, soothing and antioxidant action of its components, allows to treat the symptoms of dry eyes, also as an adjuvant in the presence of irritation and inflammation caused by environmental conditions or mechanical stress.

In addition, Lacricomplex® is useful in promoting physiological corneal repair processes and supports the restoration of corneal nerve endings, altered during eye dryness.
